Another Stevens-Pope Question

Post by waterman »

The J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company made Stevens-Pope replacement barrels for the U.S. Krags. Those used in the 1903 international Palma Match had 8 grooves and 8" twists. Did any (or most) of the S-P Krag barrels have conventional 4 groove and 10" twist rifling?

When did the S-P Krag barrels in .22 rimfire first appear? Were they all .22 LR? Were any made in .22 Short?

This may answer some of your questions, but not all.
