Affordable on-person Ammo carrying for .30-40 Krag (Pouches, Bandoliers, etc)

Not that I'm touting my wares or blowing my own horn... but I may be doing a production run this winter of chargers... especially in the renewed interest of Krag shooters at Camp Perry! I'll definitely let people know if I do!

Do you mean that sort of "clam-shell" type charger they experimented with in Norway for a while? Those were pretty neat, and depending on price point I'd be very interested I think.

Nope... this charger was designed by Parashooter, who graciously allowed me to use his design. They hold 5 rounds and you can very easily "Thumb" the rounds into the magazine in a couple seconds!

Seems like a simple and robust design that also suits the period aesthetic as well. I definitely would be interested in giving it a try (and acquiring a few), depending on price point and all that.

If I do ever start making them again on a large scale... I'll definitely post something here on the forum. And while I'm planning on making some on a small scale to take to Camp Perry... I'm still reluctant to starting a huge production again. The main reason I stopped making them was because I got burned by a guy I though I could trust... someone I went to great lengths to help (who I thought really did need help). This was a guy located in Canada, and while I had no problems what-so-ever shipping to someone in Canada, I had to jump through a crapload of hurdles to ship something firearm related to Canada. But this guy kept asking and (almost) begging for me to find a way to get it to him, so I did... only to find out several months later that his REAL motive was to use my chargers as part of a cheek pad magazine pouch that he was making and selling for Krag shooters! And furthermore, he presented my charger as if he had made them himself and even presented my instruction sheet as his own (with my own Krag and hands in the pictures)! When I saw that, I stopped making and selling them!!! I felt totally taken advantage of!!! Now-a-days, I'm happy to make them on a small scale for people who will use them to shoot in matches... especially with the return of the Roosevelt Match at Camp Perry, as I feel anything that promotes Krags on the firing line is worthy of my attention!

Sorry to hear that you got screwed in that way and not even credited by someone like that. As for me, my use case would probably be in a future "Roaring Twenties" division run in a future Woodland Brutality match. Having packeted ammunition that way is definitely handy for reloading quickly when arriving to the next firing position. I'd have to find a pistol to go with the Krag that actually fits the division rules though. Most practical option would probably be a 1911 of some ilk though revolvers are certainly under consideration for me as well.

That’s terrible to hear. If you ever do decide to make some, I’d be interested to hear if pricing and likely in for a few. It’s a shame when actions of a few, ruin it for all.

There are still many good guys out there. On another forum I learned of a lend program for 22lr S&W revolvers to address cylinder tightness. He didn’t ask for payment, simply that it wasn’t abused and was returned when done. I was more than happy to use the tool and return it to him with reimbursement for his shipping cost (which he wasn’t even looking for)! My 617 now allows for long sessions without cylinder cleanings every round or two (which I needed to do before).

I am hopeful that you thoroughly exposed him to the public, he needs to be completely discredited, both online and to the shooting community.
