Reproduction Tool - S&S Firearms: I was looking at my copy of the 2012 - S&S Firearms Catalog today and noticed it listed a tool on page 27: "K575A M1897 Combination Tool (reproduction).........$30.00". I don't know what they look like or how they were made, but, repros are 'Out There'. (ps. They also list reproduction brass muzzle covers -- $32.00). I have not minded reproduction items in the past when they were clearly known to be reproductions. It's getting to be too confusing and 'some people got no scruples'! It is a jungle out there.Image

Resurrection of an old Thread. Just picked this up on Gunbroker. Seems to be correct, has a weird mottled finish. Was covered in cosmoline like grime and the pivet is very stiff. Any Comments as to its likely authenticity will be appreciated. Image
