I'm pretty much done with metal and wood clean up on my Model 1873 Springfield project. I got a butt-plate that is a good match and the screws are on the way. I'm taking my time finding a lock and trigger-guard assembly that is reasonable and has the right amount of neglect. I will be applying more Linseed oil to the stock.
