What unit was this Krag issued to

I bought this for shooting cast lead bullets. Nothing special about the rifle as far as I know just curious as to what unit issued the rifle. I'm guessing it is a National Guard unit.

Yes - militia/later NG. Regular army did not permit such marks.

Indicates rifle/rack #60, "G" company, 5th (fill in choice of state) Infantry.
