Hadji Has a Krag

Post by Knute1 »

Hadji Abdullah from Jolo, Philippines was given a Krag rifle from President Taft. I haven't read much about him yet, but he is very photogenic.

That would be a distinctive look for KCA Members shooting at Camp Perry - Vintage Matches!

Mattress Ticking cloth, for trousers, is cheap at "Joanne's Fabric".

Must have been a rough time of unrest. Besides the Krag and Krag ammo, he has a heavy revolver with lots of ammo and a long sword or machete!
Maybe he was going on a bear hunt?

I can not see it, but I wonder if he has the bayonet and I am just missing it?

Looks like he has a Moro sword in a scabbard which has a distinctive hilt that you can see above his belt.

That's some fine metal work!

'Hadji', himself, is probably all of 85 pounds of 'spring steel'.

You would not want him 'fired up' on Hemp and pissed-off at you!

Here's a photo of some arms captured from the Moros and a Moro member of the Philippine Constabulary.ImageImage

NO WAY am I dressing like this for Perry...

Unless...

A lot of others join me in shooting AND wearing the required (ridiculous) stripped trousers too!
