All I can guess is these rifles, (a Krag, a Rolling-Block, and maybe a 'Lever-Gun?), were props at a Photograph Studio, around WW1?
Nice Krag!

These Photos were printed on Postcard Stock (an old commercial photographer practice to facilitate sending to family and friends).
The photos are for-sale on eBay. There is no provenance in eBay description or markings/writing on photographs.

Re: Please Explain?
Clearly not 48; most likely 46. I have one, picked up at an antique store in Hawaii years ago. When I asked the clerk if he noticed anything different about the flag, all I got was a blank stare.
Re: Please Explain?
Looks like a 46 star to me.
Bottom row of stars is all in a straight line and the third and fourth rows from bottom look to be in line.
So 1908 to 1912.

Re: Please Explain?
A 46 star U.S. flag would be official from July 4, 1908, to July 4, 1912.
Thanks for the observation on the flag, Dick Hosmer.
I wish I could make out the ship name on the Donald Duck Hat!

Re: Please Explain?
I vote 46 star. The number of stars in each row of the 46 star flag, starting at the bottom, is 8-7-8-8-7-8. The first three rows from the bottom in the photo (the rows are actually oriented vertical in the photo) is clearly 8-7-8 and I believe is unique to the 46-star flag.
