This model 1896 carbine sight sold yesterday on eBay for $65.
The price was low, but, the condition and how it got that way would make an interesting story. (Burial, Salt Water, Fire, left in a wet scabbard for 100 years)?
I bet the story is better than the sight.

No, I did not need it.
I hope it went to a good home.

I couldn't even attempt a bid on this poor thing. Such bad shape and not even the slide was usable to me. I need a couple real ones but there was just no way I was going to put this melted piece of s#*t on my M1896.

Re: Real but Rough
It is in a sad state, but, at the low 'Sale Price' could serve as an example in a Krag sight display.
