Query (paraphrased) on the Springfield forum of Gun Values Board this AM, where I am a moderator.
"What can you tell me about 1895 rifle 27295?"
Well - I told the guy that that number was recorded as a carbine issued to C.M.Armstrong, Troop I, 1st USV Cavalry!
Have not heard back, and have NO idea whether it was a spoof, a test, or what, nor do I have any info as to if it is, or will be, for sale.

Hey
My father was the person who inquired about the rifle. We still have it and would like to possibly sell it

Didn't even know about this post until a week ago when a friend of mine knew the story of my rifle and was on here and saw the old post!
Do you think anyone on here would be interested in buying it?
