Barrel Asterisk at 6 O'Clock?
1902 Rifle No. 393120 - Has asterisk stamp on barrel just ahead of the receiver at 6 O'clock in addition to the firing proof. Over the years, I've seen tons of inspector's marks on the receiver, receiver parts, bolt, etc. however not typically on the barrel. Any ideas?
