As a young man at a curio shop, I got a chance to handle an original cloth 'scarf' (or handkerchief) printed with a Remington Rolling-Block schematic and Spanish instructions.
It was neat, but, I couldn't afford such an item.
I always wanted one (or a copy) for a decorator item.
Yesterday, I ran across someone in the Netherlands selling reproductions on ebay. For around $18 delivered, I ordered one. I also ordered one done for the British Martini - Henry. (They are discretely marked and dated to avoid fraud).
Maybe, I will use them for curtains on my Man Cave.
Too bad one was not done for the Krag - Jorgensen rifle.
(It could help-out 'Young Paul Steinmayer' at Camp Perry .... He could use it as a bribe to charm the Waitress at the Restaurant)!

Quite an unusual collectible. Glad you're able to relive a part of your childhood! I'd buy one if there was a similar Krag scarf.

The Italians had one for the Vetterli.
I only know of one U.S. type!
(p.s. - Whig, I don't believe I ever left 'childhood').

Easy enough to get one of those too. I just might pick one up myself.
