You actually have a Model 1896 (not 1898) Rifle which was made at the Springfield Armory in Massachusetts. Are you saying that the words "U.S. Springfield Armory" do NOT appear on the gun, by the serial number?

The Model 1898 did not start until about 109000. Also, I looked at the ONLY list of serial numbers known, and 39752 is NOT listed thereon. The citations you note are for TWO other entirely different rifles. Sorry, but there is no credible reason to believe that 39752 had the same history. An EXACT number match is needed.

Are you sure it says Model ? Sounds like a Norwegian model 1894 which were stamped with the date of manufacture , serial # and crowned K ( for Kongsberg Arms Factory ).Your serial # would have been manufactured in 1898 , cartridge 6.5 x 55 .
