The Krag extractor is meant to ride over the rim easily on closing as it is designed to be a single loader with the magazine as an emergency reserve. To tell the truth though, I work the bolt fairly rapidly and have never noticed the click as the extractor goes over the rim thought I know it must be there. It is just lost in the various clicks and motions of the bolt as it is cycled.
