Just bought a sporter. My first Krag. Where can I find info to tell who did the work. I've seen some were done by several companies, such as Bannermans. Saw a pic while surfing that was a perfect match, except for grip checkering, even down to the sling attached, but there was no description.
It's a 98, Redfield rear sight, Lyman front ramp sight, military stock cut to carbine length with hand checkering and snabel on end, 22" crown to bolt head, original sling oval is filled and new swivels attached, red rubber recoil pad, 1" leather sling, service rifle barrell band.
The only bad place is 4 holes drilled, tapped and plugged in the reciever. I'm sure for a scope mount, or 2!
Can't wait to shoot it!
