i have a few questions about a 1896c krag that was my greatgrandfathers and passed on down thru my family to me.
its serial #736.. and appears to be a true carbine from the pictures on this site. i would like to know if their are any PA gun collectors who can properly id this rifle and fill me in on its worth and any suggestions on refinishing
or any thing else that i might do to retain it's value.
im not looking to sell the rifle , i would just like some expert opinions on the rifle.
The stock has no markings so im wondering if it was refinshed or the markings sanded off at one time.
being new to gun collecting ( just bought a ar and ak)
it's kind of neat having a 100+ year old rifle along side more modern military rifles
thanks for your time and any help is appreciated
thanks
bryan
