A freind of mine just inherited a model 1898 30/40 Krag and is interested in finding out exactly what he has and possibly its worth. It says springfiald armory the # stamped on it is 183306 it has the cartouch original shoulder strap and swivel mounts . The metal parts are still in excallant condition. The wooden parts are still in good shape. It was his grandfather's.
