Gentlemen, I have a blue Mills ammunition belt that has 45 loops for .38 long Colt, no grommets or sabre fixture. The last patent date is Sept 11 1894. It has a no buckle plate, just a simple C closure. Dorsey shows a similar one for .45 Govt, but not one for just pistol cartridges. Does anyone know how common this belt might be, and what type of unit or personnel it was issued to? I've posted this also on Trapdoor and Jouster - can e-mail photo or take a look on Jouster Krag section.
Thanks much, Lee T. ???
