Krags and sights ?

Would a 1898 Krag rifle made in 1901 have the same rear sight as a 1898 carbine made in 1901? How about the height and type of the front sight? Is the middle band the same? If some of the parts are different, which ones? I know the stocks and handguards are different. Also, do all Krag carbines have the saddle ring or did some have sling swivels? Thanks in advance.

There were no Mdl. 1898 carbines made in either CY or FY 1901 by Springfield Armory. By this time the Model of 1899 carbines were in production.
