The Richmond Va Gun Show was held last weekend (Aug 24-25). There were seven Krags for sale. All in military configuaration (no sporters) and all nice weapons.
The star attraction was a 92/96 rifle with serial number 73. It was very clean and I would guess NRA fine plus. It had an 1896 rear sight, narrow wrist stock with 1896 butt and oiler/cleaning rod holes but no cartouche (I forgot to look for a "P" and a cleaning rod filler in the forestock), rounded muzzle, 1896 bolt - looked like an SA quality job to me. I asked the dealer to post it on our web site and perhaps keep it in the family.
Also:
1898 Carbine s/n 127239 w/96C rear sight, no cart.
1898 Rifle s/n 145744 w/1901 RS and 1899 cart.
1898 Rifle s/n192322 w/1901 RS and 1899 cart.
1899 Rifle s/n 204065 w/1902 RS and no cart
1899 Carbine s/n 349150 w/1901C RS and no cart.
1898 Rifle s/n 433864 w/1901 RS and no cart.
Keep up the fire.
