Norwegian Krag

I recently purchased a Krag-Jorgensen 6.5 x 55 carbine. Serial # 115497 and it has 1917 stamped on it. Any information would be appreciated.

Sorry folks, I've been quite busy lately.

Well Ontariohunter, I looked up the serialnumber of your carbine, and came up with a M/94 rifle...
In fact the whole production of 1917 was M/94 rifles...

So I suppose your rifle was converted somewhere along the line, maybe by the army,or by some civillian gunsmith.
You didn't mention what configuration it has, and then it's hard to come up with any more info.
