Hello there Ned.

Spring is a busy period over here, so I haven't spendt that much time online.
Let me see here...

Your M/1912 was one of the 2371 carbines made for the army in 1924.
In 1940 it was listed at the 3. Batallion of the mountain Artillery.
If it has been in action during the German invasion is unknown, but it may very well have served with one of the units commanded by my mothers uncle prior to the invasion.

The Mountain Artillery was a special branch of the Artillery, and they had a lighter 7,5cm "Mountain Howitzer" that could be disassembeled and carried on 4-5 horses in order to make movment in rough mountain terrain easier.

That's about all I can tell you about it.
Just enjoy and take good care of it.

Regards.
Nord
