Christmas came early!

Post by butlersrangers »

I bought a cache of Krag parts on ebay for a fair price. I made a 'Buy Now' offer and the Seller was kind enough to work with me and accepted my offer.

My 'Present' came today. The 'jewel' in the package cleaned up nice and was reassembled properly.

Too bad the very good 1896 hand-guard was altered to work with a model 1901 sight. ImageImageImageImageImage

Oh no! You ruined a super-rare Australian version - designed for upside-down shooting. ;)

LOL - Hey, it's still Winter in Australia. I can always change the slide back the way it was!

Ned: I am going to keep the hand-guard for now. I imagine it could be made into a 'substitute' model 1896 carbine hand-guard.

Thanks for asking.
