Greetings and Introduction

Post by kragkrazy »

Hello fellow Krag lovers.

I just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself and say thank you to all who run and contribute to this forum.

I have been a Krag distant admirer for some time. I have always wanted to add one to my collection, but rising costs (and depleting toy funds re:college costs) have prevented that.

Recently I had a chance to purchase a barreled action at a price I could afford. Thinking I could find a stock easily; HOW NAIVE of me!

Yes I'm new to this, yes this is my VERY FIRST KRAG!

I'd like to post a few pictures and get some advice; what do I have, what is it worth, how do I get it back together, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, where can I find a stock ASAP!

Thank you all!

Welcome to the forum KragKrazy and to the wonderful world of Krags! Careful, Krags tend to multiply when you're not looking!

Rob,

Is the barreled action you purchased a Model 1896 or Model 1898?
