Redfield #102-K instructions

Post by butlersrangers »

'S.B.' requested guidance on installing a Redfield #102-K sight.

Over time, there was a greater appreciation of the role the cut-off shaft played in providing a smooth cartridge feed for the Krag. The instructions changed from completely throwing away the cut-off to re-using the cut-off shaft.

Nowadays, I would just fill the 'trough' in the receiver wall with smoothed out J.B. Weld or a Nail filed to the cut-off shaft contour.
