Letters behind trigger appear to be BGW, although the B is barely discernible. These are raised and not engraved, and appear to be a well made stamp of some kind.

The Redfield appears to be missing a micrometer adjustment. Anyone have one?

Here you can see the hole is not plugged where the cut off was removed. It does feed shells but sometimes hangs up. I'll have to plug this.

This looks like numbers where painted on the stock sometime after it was modified. What's with that? Did it go to a VFW post AFTER sporterized?

Here a nice piece of wood has been added to the top of the stock with ivory plugs over the screws.
