So, you got one that wasn't put through an arsenal rebuild. Very nice.

I wonder why mine was rebuilt when it obviously looks unused and probably didn't need anything replaced. I think, from what I'm reading, that it was automatic to switch out parts without regard to needing to do so. Then they were stamped as a rebuild and put back into storage.

Have you shot it yet?

Finally had a chance to shoot this one the other week. Lost track of this thread. No photos from the day, but it shot great at 100 yards bench rest. Predicted shots could be covered with a quarter. Occasional flyers confirmed the rifle better than me. I shot my own reloads which were 46.0 grains of IMR 4895 with 175 HPBT

Really impressed with the 03a3 6-groove SC so far. Even more pleased that Im pretty sure I could get my $800 investment back if I ever decided to part with it.

Sounds like a great day at the range. Hope the weather was agreeable.

I've got so much shooting fun a head of me with these old military rifles, I can't wait till retirement!

I don't have time for all of that fun right now. Dealing with tax stuff today. Little by little!
