Assembling 1903 Springfields during WW1

Post by butlersrangers »

This neat photo was apparently published by the N.Y. Times, during WW1.

I suspect the first elderly workman might be Joseph Sumner Adams. He came out of retirement and was working at the Armory during the war.ImageImage

We should all begin a process to have Chuck's hard drive declared a National Treasure. Maybe we should also extend the designation to the man, himself.

I'll second that nomination... He definitely IS the class historian!!!

Hey Chuck, we should do some shooting together this spring (if spring ever gets to Michigan).
