The ebay seller honestly says: "I don't know who made this, or why"?

I actually had difficulty typing the text for this post .... the nausea and dry heaves made it painful. Some things cannot be unseen!

I am a real wood and machined steel kind of guy.

Oddly though, if some concern made a synthetic Krag stock in an original carbine configuration,
or along the lines of the old 'Peerless' sporting stock, I would buy one and put it on a cut-down 'beater' Krag.

It would have to be Brown, to match my shoes, though!

Actually I looked at it on Ebay and thought to myself Hmmmm...then I looked at some of the other pics and said "Yikes what a mess!"

The view on Br's photo looks interesting. I could live with it on the ranch if no one else saw it. If from the other side it is a mess I would pass also. The Krag pistol from last year had some nice features but it would probably be illegal. Pistols built on rifle receivers can be very bad legally. Maybe 1896 and earlier are OK since they are not really firearms but antiques?
