Although not pictured on the Stoeger catalog page, 'Peerless' did offer unfinished and finished Mannlicher style stocks for the Krag.

If I had the Peerless wood and metal, I would build a Krag-Mannlicher from a 'cut-down' U.S. Krag.

It is a matter of taste. I always liked the Mannlicher-carbine styling for a Hunting Arm.

I like them too, found a mannlicher stock for the 03 Springfield a while back but haven’t found a sporterized donor for it yet.
