A new Netflix movie called "Kampen Om Narvik"
April 1940. The eyes of the world are on Narvik, a small town in northern Norway, source of the iron ore needed for Hiter's war machinery. Through two months of fierce winter warfare, Hitler is dealt his first defeat.

Re: Krags in the Movies
Just saw that movie Narvik. I thought it was a very good movie. To bad they can't make them like that in the U.S.
Re: Krags in the Movies
John Wayne carried a Krag in the 1944 movie "The Fighting Seabees". It was a "Japanese captured rifle".
Re: Krags in the Movies
Technically not a “movie” - but a popular old TV show.
“Hogan’s Heroes” - doubtless, I am not the only one here who remembers it.
Anyhow, John Banner, the portly actor who played Sergeant Schultz, was Jewish, from Austria.
When the Germans annexed Austria in ‘38, he emigrated to the US. Apparently, he lost some relatives to the Holocaust.
When he took on the role of Sergeant Schultz,
Mr. Banner was willing to wear the costume uniform, but was not willing to carry an actual German firearm. So, if you look closely, he doesn’t carry a Mauser, but a Krag.

Watched on NetFlix the movie Narvik. It was released in 2022 and is about when the Germans attacked Norway the city of Narvik at the start of WW2. The Nazis suffered their first defeat of the war as the allied forces came in to help. Its a great movie and LOADS of action of shooting Krags. Ive never saw so many in one movie!!
