Gee, that long Krag in the night shot looks kind of Yankee up front. Wide upper band, no underbarrel bayonet lug. Compare to Norsk 1894 -

I guess with so many they made a few Frankenstein Krags from parts. I'll try to grab a few more clear stills off the movie video showing more full daylight views.

Here is a better shot. The 3rd guy in the back I think is either a French or a Polish soldier. When they were in battle a few Nordic Soldiers as running were picking up other rifles instead of stopping to re-load. Maybe in the other pic he was holding one of the allied rifles he picked up

Two more screen shots. The movie worth watching. There is no BS woke politics injected into it.

You can strike gold looking for Krags in the old 1930s jungle movies or the Saturday serials. In this case I give you a Saturday jungle serial in Jungle Jim from 1936

This episode gives us another glimpse of movie magic with the thrilling saga of the Jungle Queen from 1945. Hot babes and Krags. Okay. It's only two hot babes but there is a Krag something or other.

This episode of Krag in the Movies is a Great War story featuring William Boyd, Mary Astor, and Louis Wolheim. I'm not certain if I put this in the earlier "Krags", which is in the archive, so here it is again. Maybe. The great Boris Karloff is in there, too.

Worth posting again ... "For Whom the Bell Tolls".

In the war against Franco, three out of four Socialist Rebels prefer a Krag!

In 1944, Greek Actress Katina Paxinou was awarded the Oscar, for 'Best Supporting Actress'.

She portrayed "Pilar", who became the leader of the rebel band, after her husband loses his nerve and sells them out.

BTW - "Pilar" was also the name of Hemingway's fishing boat.

This is a rousing tale of war time France 1918. The ageless story of two men after the same girl. We! We! Marie! stars the great Slim Summerville of All Quiet on the Western Front fame. This is a classic pre-code howler.

Lots of Krags in the movie, too.
