Krags in the Movies
Re: Krags in the Movies
McHales Navy used Krags through out the early shows like many other TV shows. I remember loving this show as a kid, more so now.

To Kill a Mockingbird-Gregory Peck shoots the mad dog. I cannot attach the photo here but it is wonderful.

I added BR's great find of Krags in the Movies to this thread. Bad movie or not, Granger, she was a beautiful woman and was hefting a Krag.

In the early morning of April 9th 1940 the Danish army is placed on high alert. The Germans have crossed the border and Denmark is at war against Europe's strongest army. In Southern Jutland, Danish bicycle and motorcycle companies are ordered to go against all odds and hold back the forces until the Danish reinforcements can be mobilized. This is their story and based on real events.
You can find it on Amazon Prime Video. It’s a newer movie — enjoy!

April 9th is a very good movie, there are other movies about Norway and what they did. Can't remember the names all on Prime or Netflix.
Shows them using Norwegian Krags

Last night I was watching the movie McClintock with John Wayne. Near the end Edward Buchanan dumps a crate of rifles out of a train car to arm the Indian tribe. I am pretty sure they are krag cut down rifles or carbines. Some well armed Indians in the 1880's!

Today's rousing adventure is At Ease from 1927. It is the remnants of a comedy. Thank goodness it was digitalized before the nitrate film stock went poof.

Gunga Din. IIRC (and that may or may not be correct), Krag rifles were used toward the end of the movie when Gunga Din is shot. Sincerely. bruce.

Not all Spanish American War films are made in the united States. Here is a Filipino-American 2010 drama.
I include the film in the list even though they are movie prop Krags because of the story and the historical context.
