Another place that idea would be useful is helicopter pig hunting. You would need a gun mount to take the recoil though. The fellow that was leasing the property on the north side of me hired a helicopter and used a 12 gauge with buck shot. He had to quit after 76 dead pigs. We was in his seventies at the time and a real tough old buzzard.
About once a month the neighbor that is on either side of me hires a helicopter to kill pigs. From the sound of the shooting, I think the shooter is using a low impulse rifle like an AR or an AK.
