This combination of parts is for sale on eBay. It was never put together by Springfield Armory.
It features a Krag model 1898 base and a 1903 Springfield Rod-Bayonet top.
If it is cheap enough, it can be a source of parts or serve as a useful sight on a sportered Krag.
But be aware of this combo. It frequently gets passed off as something exotic (and expensive)!
