Great pictures Whig, your early bolts are still the real deal!
I suspect that Mark's new bolt is likely from a U.S. model 1892 Krag rifle, that was updated to model 1896.
Nowadays, the early parts don't show up too often and bring a premium price. Your stuff always looks nice!
