Some things just show too much irony!

Hmm, it has been 55 years since i was in Boy Scouts, but they told us a dull knife was a dangerous knife. The idea was a dull knife required more effort to cut and was more likely to get out of control with the extra pressure needed to cut something. With pocket knives I have found that to be generally true. Seems like the same principal would apply to wood working tools. If so, keeping your tools sharp reduces but does not eliminate the need for your first aid kit.

The few times I sliced the hell out of my fingers with pocket knives as a kid was when I borrowed my buddies's sharp-as-heck knives. My dull knives would do everything I needed such as cutting baler twine or shaving down a piece of wood. Dad kept his razor sharp. Of course he never, and I mean never, loaned them to anybody.

Doesn't matter was a cutting tool is designed to do, if it is not properly sharpened, it will not work up to its full potential. What is produced will be less than optimum. Sharpen first, then proceed to use the tool to do the work. Sincerely. bruce.

No debate was intended, properly sharpened tools perform better and with greater safety.

It was just amusing to me, to see these book titles paired.

That horse is not dead yet, but, if you were intending to show how much Uncle Joe cares about this, his face is on the other end.

Brandon 'joe' does have a 'shit eating' grin and he is a rather dull 'tool'.
