Several of you referred to Karl Hanevik's excellent book on the Norwegian Krag in my inquiry about Norwegian rifle slings.

Just to brag a little, I have the book in my library inscribed with a personnel autograph from Col. Hanevik.
We met at various gun shows off and on years ago and did some trading. Sharing stories over dinner and drinks was great fun.
Here we are at the Sioux Falls South Dakota gun show receiving my personalized copy of his book. I think I had to buy dinner after.

Great Story! Hanevik is an awesome Krag historian.

Probably the "best" Krag Book is his work.

How's your Norwegian, Cat Man?

Karl Egil Hanevik made valuable contributions to chapters 2 & 4 of Frank Mallory's "The Krag Rifle Story".

(IMO - Hanevik did not get adequate recognition for his work, which in part, identified and clarified some of the 'U.S. 1892 test' Krag rifles).
