When the 25th Infantry made that ride with their Krags, did they have any ammunition? Or enough food, water, etc? Was there a supply wagon?

My question is about bicycle tires back in the day. Even today, I see bicyclists repairing flats. When I rode in the 1960s, flats were something you dealt with on every road trip. What did those Krag-equipped soldiers do? Solid rubber tires?
