In Cody, Wyoming

Post by butlersrangers »

Left the Grand Tetons & Yellowstone today and drove to Cody via the Chief Joseph trail.
I got a quick glimpse of the Cody Firearms Museum Gun Collection, today, and back to the museums tomorrow!

We are so lucky to be born in this land.

Serial numbers! Did you get serial numbers?

Yep. One that really interests me is the Model 1885 High Wall in .351 Winchester. It's the load development rifle.

Culpeper wanted the serial numbers on Frederic Remington's studio prop carbines:

In another section of the Museum, there was a mock-up of Remington's (New Rochelle, N.Y.) Studio.

Protective glass and lighting make it very difficult to capture good photos in the 5 museums contained in the Cody, Wyoming, facility.
(My wife was skeptical of my insistence that we go to Cody and the Buffalo Bill Museum. She loved all 5 museums, including the Firearms Museum).
