With healthy animals ... the Bison don't give a shit about coyotes.
Elk don't care about 'No Parking' signs!

Re: Bison, Coyotes, and Elk
The Bison all looked pretty fit to me. Bulls, females, frolicking juveniles, and calves, made up the herds.
The Coyotes looked very healthy, but were very cautious, so as not to draw the wrath of the Bulls!
I believe, Yellowstone had a good snowpack last winter and good rainfall. The rivers, streams, and lakes all seemed high.
Everything feels arid to me at 9,000 foot elevation.

Re: Bison, Coyotes, and Elk
i was at yellowstone once a long time ago when a buffalo attacked me out of nowhere. it had me down in a second and one of it's hornes was ripping my abdomen while it stood and stomped me with the front hooves. then it pushed me hard up against a tree stump and my ribs collapsed. this all happened in less than a second unprovoked, the big bull buff walked away with my blood soaking it's head and horns. then i woke up from my nightmare had breakfast and went to work. wink

That's the one in .405 Winchester with the altered magazine? We loaded cartridges with Magnum LR primers, a stiff load of 4895 and a 300 grain bullet with a 0.032" thick copper jacket.

Anyone can have a 'Dream Krag', just review KCA back pages before nodding off at night.
