Pretty funny Br.

Does anyone know if cow tipping is a real thing? Seems I have seen them lying down sleeping many times. A few in the herd will be standing, never asked them if they were asleep though. Even walking up on them at night they seem pretty aware of their surroundings and many will get up and move out of your way. The other thing is, if it can be done cattle are awfully heavy seems to me, they would break ribs when they hit the ground and it would probably kill them.

I only pretended to be a rancher for 20 years, so I do not know all the answers. A member at the fire department asked me about controlling flies on cattle even though he has been a rancher all his life and is now in his eighties. So, I do know a thing or two from all the pretending.

While in Wyoming, I engaged in some Buffalo Tipping. It was hard work, but fun!

I checked with the ranch manager next door (He bought most of my place and the cattle) and some cows do sleep standing up. He saw cow tipping as a difficult, as they do seem pretty aware even when most are sleeping. He did not comment on possible broken ribs and death of the cow if a person successfully did it.

Br's comic at the start is correct, cows would not like "cow tippers".

Do not think any amount of night thermal imaging would explain "beach calf".

Cannot tip a deer, they sleep lying down. Not sure about the horse in the background, the only time I have seen them lying down is when they are rolling in the dust or sick. My guess is horses sleep standing up.
