Armistice Day (Jour de l'Armistice)

Post by Culpeper »

Here we are again to commemorate the armistice of the war to end all wars. Take a moment to remember those who fought and died and then remember the men who lived and tried to keep us neutral in the Second Great War. I remember three because I knew them.

Dad knew of a couple local vets who had been gassed. He told me Grandpa said they never were right after they got back from the war. Health issues.

Thanks for the post Culpeper!

We owe so much to our Veterans. They pay a heavy price - lost youth, health, and body parts - Loss of romance and family time.
They experience loneliness, loss, terror, emotions and boredom, that easily break a mind and haunt their daily lives.

Bless them all and let them find peace and happiness!
