1896 Carbine 1st USV documented at RIA

Post by Cat Man »

Happened to see this listing in the RIA auction catalog. Lot 128 next weeks auction.
Model 1896 Krag Carbine, documented to a named soldier who served in the 1st USV in Cuba.
All the documents are posted. I have no connection and it is NOT my carbine.
Just thought you fellas might find it interesting and review and comment.

Looks legit with official Mallory documentation. If they get what they expect, makes mine pretty valuable. I don't deal with Rock Island ever anymore. Their prices with buyer's premiums are always very inflated. They have nice stuff, though. Not many pictures posted for a $10,000-18,000 carbine. Thanks for the posting.

That is very cool! ... 9th Cavalry provenance and once owned by Frank Mallory ... mighty nice.

Case in point I tried to purchase this at the gun show and my wife called me crazy.

it moves and drives like a tank by remote control. It's main gun shoots BB's!!! it recoils when it shoots the hull mg shoots and lights up when it does. It's die cast metal, the turret turns. It sounds like a tank and it makes its own smoke screen.

$750

Couldn't get the picture small enough to post
