I’m glad I found this place, have always loved Krags, among others, and own several of my own. I recently acquired two sporters that I’m about to convert back as gifts for my 2 sons that have recently (and surprisingly) showed a lot of interest in my old militaries. I hope to be as accurate as I can and this is how I end up here!

Some photos, of your 'project Krags', will stimulate conversation and some helpful suggestions.

Unfortunately, the availability of Krag parts seems diminished and the cost has jumped considerably in the past few years.

Krag Restoration has become more difficult and expensive, IMO.

But, there is lots of help, experience, and knowledge, available here!

What do you mean by sporter stocks? Custom stock with a cheek piece? I might be interested.

That’s exactly what I have. Pretty nice I think. I just put pictures up so if you’re game shoot me an offer and you can’t hurt my feelings.
