Late season deer

Took a chance on a challenging late season hunt. 13 degrees, hit him at 1619 hours tracked him for 2 miles and found him at 1833. 55yd (approximate) shot down hill bolt went right through him

Good on ya. What state did you get it?

I'll be going next weekend with my flintlock rifle in the teens and single digits in northern Illinois for the late-late season. Snows coming this week. Hoping the deer will be herding up in my hunting spot. Worked many times in the past.
