Krag Collectors Association Forum

After some recent reading it seems some Krag carbines were given rifle type sling swivels and bands and issued / used by Engineers the field. I vaguely remember seeing one of these in person but now I can't seem to find any pictures or real info on them in the references I have.

Does anyone have info and pictures of these "Engineers" carbine they could share?

Also, on a side note, if anyone knows where I can find a 1901 sight, humped Krag carbine hand guard now that East Taylor LLC is gone please let me know.
