Detroit has a large island park in its river called Belle-Isle.
A local woman, Christina Zisa, photographed two days ago, what is believed to be a coywolf on Belle-Isle.
It is speculated the hybrid may have crossed to the island from Ontario, over the ice.
We have experienced a recent warm spell in S.E. Michigan.
Another local photographer, Daniel Robert, captured an image of two Swans, a few days back,
swimming in the morning fog on the Detroit River.

Re: Coywolf
I did a search for coywolf and a Wikipedia article showed a picture of the Eastern Coyote, it's color very closely matches the picture you posted.
Also their range includes Ontario. The article also states that wolves and coyotes all have the same number of chromosomes so mating is possible.
The article also says humans have been mixing species in experiments for many years.
