Krag rifle in current CMP auction

For those of us holding Krags, it's nice to see prices at that level - the rifle is nice, but far from minty.

Nice looking Krag...They don't come up for CMP auction very often.

BTW: Wasn't the HEADLESS cocking piece only used on the 1899 carbines? HAHA just kidding!!!

I never follow any CMP auctions because of prices but this is a wonderful Krag rifle all around. Not worth that price though. Maybe $1200-1300 depending on bore condition. Nice cartouche.

Well, it started at $1.00 and has 52 bids, so far!

It comes with CMP papers and a hang-tag.

Auction prices tend to get mighty goofy.

The stock blemish would normally hurt most collector interest, but the CMP has a different and big audience.

That tells us a lot about the actual value of our currency. Those of us who think the price is incredibly high are mentally obsolete, behind the times.

$1200-1300m value. Currently, it would appear, that a "CMP" documentation doubles its value. Not in my book.
