If butlersrangers assumption is correct I may already have a .22 cal Gallery practice rifle, at least the stock๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, Iโ€™m leaning on the 50% that your hunch may be right because that means I donโ€™t have to try to find a .22 caliber practice rifle to buy๐Ÿ˜‚

Not clear on how having (POSSIBLY) having the stock for one would eliminate the "need" to have the whole gun? :o

Physically, the stocks are identical, so any sort of swapping was possible. I suppose the large, VERY ornate, unbordered "JFC" cartouche would be the most desirable. The .22s are pretty scarce, and pricy. Mine, 476551, is SRS-listed, and were I to part with it, would be asking around $3,500. But, right now, it's one of my keepers. :D
