I was walking around looking at tables at a local military collector showed in Florida today looking for a World War II USMC Kabar knife and As I was digging through a large box of knives and bayonets that an old gentleman had, I found a 1903 dated Krag bayonet!

And just two tables down was an original Krag leather sling with Rock Island Arsenal 1903 H.E.K. and also T.R. on the very end of the strap. I’m not sure why it has both the HEK and the TR initials on it.

They both are going on my 1903 Krag rifle !

I’m really happy that I found these because they directly go with the 1903 dated rifle I got last week 8-)

Nice accessories, Hammer.

Whig, there's a Zouave hiding in every woodpile!

Wow Whig!!! That’s an amazing looking collection of Carbines and a couple lonely looking Rifles in their midst.

I sent you a PM yesterday as well asking if you could help check my 1903 Krags serial number in SRS. Thank you!

U.S. Model 1898 Krag rifle, number 451574, is not listed in the appendix tables of Mallory' book, "The Krag Rifle Story", second edition.

(Only four Krags in the 451K serial number range are mentioned in the SRS Data).
